client: Municipality of Anchorage: "Bike to Work"
project: 2015 event design
The Municipality of Anchorage celebrated its Centennial in 2015. They asked that the Bike to Work design commemorate this event. Kimografix presented several designs. One harkened back to the 2013 Bike to Work logo. A second featured a 1915 female cyclist since part of the year's goal was to get more women involved. Versions of both designs were used in multiple media.
For the online registration of Bike To Work teams, Kimografix pulled in a gentleman riding a 1915 "Indian Chief" bicycle.
For Bike to Work's Facebook cover image, we turned to our 1915 female cyclist. She was also featured on the team T-shirts.
A particularly fun part of this campaign was preparing the Illustrator files which Northwest Strategies used to create a TV ad for the event. It featured our 1915 female cyclist pedaling along the old townsite. She then "morphed" into a modern version of herself passing current iconic downtown buildings. The background files can be seen below. The 2015 Bike to Work TV spot can be viewed on YouTube.
